LowSea Leasing Node update (1st of July 2021)
It’s crypto summertime! BTC is crabbing, plenty of FUD out there and not many interesting announcements made it out into the cryptoverse. Let’s have a look at what was happening with LTO Network these past two weeks.
First of all, there was another AMA with Rick. Host: SwapZone and this time done live on youtube, making it easier to watch back. It had good quality questions which allowed for a valuable conversation. You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/pnX53e7BJug And yes… the trolls were out to play… just don’t pay attention to them. That’s what you get when you want to clean up the channel from racist morons. I suspect they will bother LTO Network for quite a while, unfortunately, so best to just ignore them and hope they start their own rug pull DeFi project or something.

Bitcoin.com has added itself to the markets offering LTO and we’re happy they saw the light. 😁 We see more and more of these exchanges picking up LTO, helping increase volume bit by bit. The impact might be small, but it will allow more people to buy when LTO does reach the big tier 1 exchanges finally.
Speaking of tier 1 exchanges; Sphereon mentioned in the LTO telegram channel that the Rosetta implementation is now complete and they put in a Pull Request on the LTO github. LTO can now test it and implement it into their structure. Which should bring LTO another step closer to getting in line for a Coinbase listing.
This week Rick Schmitz was also a guest at the Dutch Business News Radio (BNR). It is a well-known, quality radio station, where he was interviewed for about an hour in the ‘Big Five’ program that focused on blockchain this week. We’ve seen a few anchors pop up again for the UN-Habitat node, however with things in Afghanistan not going the greatest (Taliban taking back control of parts of the country) many in the community think we will not quickly see their GoLand solution start in earnest. Instead, LTO Network is already focusing on another country in Africa which might actually beat Afghanistan with the GoLand solution going into actual production. 😎
LTO Network now has a Github board available where you can keep track of the things they work on: https://github.com/orgs/ltonetwork/projects/1 With the developer team expanded earlier in June, it’s nice to see everyone is working hard on the new indexer service and building the DID and VC structures while the community can follow their process in a transparent way.
Finally, Rick was part of the Dutch Blockchain Days, organized by the Dutch Blockchain Coalition. In fact, their panel were four companies that work together on different projects (as part of LTO’s Ecosystem V initiative). DUSK Network, Sphereon, LTO Network and Gimly were all present. The talk is an interesting insight in what these four organizations have to say about the happenings in blockchain land and it’s was worth watching in my opinion.
